The Link ISP event, which will take place on August 11 and 12 in Gramado, is one of the largest in the telecommunications sector and brings together content producers, streaming companies and operators
Gramado, August 11, 2022 – V.tal and GlobeNet, companies that offer, respectively, the largest neutral fiber optic network in the country and one of the most important subsea cable networks in the Americas, will present during Link ISP, in Gramado, to content and streaming producers (OTTs), telecom companies (operators), internet providers (ISPs) and content distributors (CDNs), their business models and services at the main regional event for the sector, which takes place on August 11 and 12, in Serra Park.
The companies will have a joint stand to present FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) and IP Connect services. V.tal has 400,000 kilometers of ground-based fiber optic network, which reaches more than 2,300 locations in all regions of Brazil, and GlobeNet more than 26,000 km of subsea cables and edge data centers that connect Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Bermuda and the United States.
“We will show providers in the South region the benefits of sharing V.tal’s fiber optic infrastructure, the largest in the country. By choosing to use our neutral network, they will be able to expand their operations to new markets and focus on developing new solutions and high quality customer service. They will not have to spend time and money on building and maintaining the infrastructure needed to bring high-quality internet to end customers,” explains Rafael Marquez, Marketing Director at V.tal.
V.tal’s FTTH network in Rio Grande do Sul is present in Porto Alegre and 26 other cities, in which about 2 million addresses already have internet available for contracting by internet providers and telecom operators. V.tal is currently the company that has the most fiber optic addresses available for contracting throughout the country, with more than 17 million homes passed, distributed across all regions. The company’s strategy is to reach 34 million homes passed by 2025 with an investment plan of R$30 billion already underway.
GlobeNet will present at the event the advantages of its IP Connect product, dedicated internet access, which directly connects operators and providers to their Edge Data Centers and traffic exchange points located in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Bermuda and the United States.
Representatives of the providers and operators present at Link ISP Gramado will be able to follow the panel “Neutral Networks: myths and truths”, which will be attended by Rafael Marquez, V.tal’s Marketing Director, on 08/11, at 4:45 pm, at Arena Master.
