In Maranhão, companies such as Sinai, from Imperatriz, already share V.tal’s neutral network
São Luís, August 30, 2022 – V.tal and GlobeNet, companies that offer, respectively, the largest neutral fiber optic network in the country and one of the most important subsea cable networks in the Americas, are present at the ISP Meeting Business, Maranhão’s main regional business event for internet providers, which takes place on August 30 at the Rio Poty Hotel, in São Luís.
The companies will be able to present to telecom operators and regional providers their business models and services FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home), Connectivity, National and International Capacity, IP Connect, GNIIX, Edge Data Center and Anti DDoS Security, which together form one of the most complete digital infrastructure ecosystems in the Brazilian market. V.tal has more than 400,000 kilometers of ground-based fiber optic network, which reaches more than 2,300 locations in all regions of Brazil; and GlobeNet, more than 26,000 km of subsea cables and edge data centers that connect Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Bermuda and the United States.
V.tal’s FTTH (Fiber To The Home) service enables providers and operators to sell high-speed internet solutions to end customers by sharing V.tal’s fiber optic infrastructure. “By opting for our neutral network model, these companies do not have to worry about the construction and maintenance of cables and equipment, dedicating their efforts to launch services and operate in new markets, in addition to quality service to their end customers. More than offering connectivity infrastructure, we want to help providers and operators leverage their business,” says Rafael Marquez, Marketing Director at V.tal.
Neutral network in Maranhão
V.tal’s FTTH network in Maranhão is present in São Luís and 4 other cities, in which about 320 thousand addresses already have internet available for contracting by internet providers and telecom operators. Sinai Telecom, based in Imperatriz and acting as a mobile operator and connectivity provider for companies, is the newest operator to offer high quality residential broadband services, thanks to V.tal’s neutral network, an innovation that has enabled the expansion of several regional providers throughout Brazil.
V.tal is currently the company that has the most fiber optic addresses available for contracting in the whole country, with more than 17 million homes passed, distributed throughout all regions. The company’s strategy is to reach 34 million homes passed by 2025 with an investment plan of R$30 billion already underway.
GlobeNet, a V.tal Network
GlobeNet will present at the event the advantages of its IP Connect product, dedicated internet access, which directly connects carriers and providers to its Edge Data Center and traffic exchange points located in Fortaleza, which means having computing resources close to users, ensuring a better experience when using the internet whether for online gaming, streaming or in the use of other technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and IoT. “We are undergoing an integration process between V.tal and GlobeNet that will result in the largest digital infrastructure company in the country focused on offering quality services and high reliability to our customers,” says Marquez.
